Most people identify so strongly with thought that they actually believe they are the voice in their head. This is what Carlos Casteneda called the Predatory mind. He felt that the same mind was shared by everyone. So therefore to get lost in thought was to plug into the mass matrix. The Buddhist say that the mind is a great tool but a terrifying master. Human beings are making strides every year regarding our earthling animal brothers. We are realizing more and more that incredible amounts of earth life from bees to trees have a complex system of communication. They essentially think as one. Yet despite many great minds from ancient mystics to the modern fathers of psychology suggesting so, we refuse to acknowledge that perhaps human beings also tap into a hive mind. That we all share a collective unconscious mind or frequency, a radio station that we are all tuned into. It is really not hard to believe if you just observe the ebbs and flow of consciousness. We call it human nature, yet if we observe critically we notice that we do slowly evolve and change accepted nature as a whole (There are always stragglers).
Simple examples would be how our views on woman’s rights, slavery and the industrialization of animal farming have changed. Naturally there has always been the persecution of those that first suggest the evolutionary leaps.
The great Bernard Shaw once wrote “ All great truths start as blasphemy”. We as as a society hide behind what we feel has always been done, which disconnects us from the pure essence of the primordial creative aspect throbbing in us all. The simple ability to create any kind of world we want. Beyond the limitations of the past, just as the cycles of history have shown us, this process is inbuilt in our hive mind.
To consider that we are all tapped into this proverbial frequency, also creates a platform for us to consider a thought that takes great courage. The thought that a species can get lost, lost simply as they have disconnected from the guiding wavelength of the mother that birthed us all. If this is a possibility, which I enthusiastically say is the case, then we need to start to entertain that the greatest act of rebellion a human being can make is to reject the thoughts in their head. One could say that to emerge in fearless awakening is to turn your back on the hive mind that currently seethes with sickness.
This all seems very conceptual, yet the proof is in the absolute truth of what we all experience.
The station in your head tells you to be afraid, it tells you that your success is based on what you own. It tells us we are separate and spurs on suspicion. It even whispers to us that our bodies, who worship us as gods are not good enough.
It is my perception that every great master had to transcend the same thing. Not the rejection of our pure humaneness, but the rejection of the incessant commentary regarding it that plays in our heads.
That voice in your head is not your eternal spirit. If it was you, you would not have a second voice nagging in the background.
The ultimate breakthrough in my eyes is to be able to reprimand, ignore and even laugh at the things that go on in your head.
And laughter is so important. When you get the joke you won’t take yourself so seriously, or judge your species joint suggestions so harshly.
Though is actually comedic once you dissociate. Thank you for the suggestion I often say, but I quite like my belly.
Once this distinction is made, it is up to our own tenacious expression to harness this understanding.
To practice daily what allows you to glimpse ourselves beyond the lost chatter. To meditate, sing, dance or even surf. Whatever helps you transcend your mental shackles. To reach for the deeper voices that can never be tarnished or corrupted. Like the voice of the eternal mother or fire of the father spirit.
In a silent mind, awareness, recognition and a powerful sense of just being take place.
Even when our minds become an ocean of turmoil it is a choice wether you wish to pick up and identify with the angry or hurtful thoughts the ego presents to you. If picked up, it quickly becomes part of your truth and reality. It is a choice to engage a thought. We must remember this to empower our own rebellion.
Can you hold space for powerful thoughts and feelings, let them be, and yet still decide they are not the deeper truth?
If you wait, if you weather the storm of a hard day without buying into the voices of fear. Soon enough you will have access to higher thought born of the divine aspect calling you home.
Latch onto this and give it your power.
A powerful creator, chooses the highest possible thought and action in each moment, no mater how traumatic, they choose which one they wish to energize. They choose and therefor become conscious creators. Essentially exercising free will for the first time.
It’s a mighty act of rebellion.
Those that realise they are merely observing options push certain thoughts aside until they find a perspective that better suites the concious experience they wish to create.
Dylan Thomas once expressed “I hold a beast an angel and a madman within me”
And so do I, so do you.
The madman is the uncontrolled thought that you think is you.
The angel is your true essence guiding and commenting in the background.
And the beast is the unforgotten earth connection, the primal intelligence that truly knows all things you need. Beyond the mind beyond thought, it knows it’s place in nature, it knows how to fix your body. It most importantly does not know suffering as it understands the beauty in the rise and fall of all things. It knows pain, but never suffering. That can only be found in a obsessive self righteous story born of the lost human mind of how things should be.
Thomas did not add the beast to suggest there was more darkness than angel. He added it as a hidden truth.
All of shamanism is born of removing the mind so that the primal and ancient body can realign.
In altered state, we release, we know and we glimpse the apex between chaos and perfection where the One awaits for fearless travelers.
In this place we rise and fall without resistance.
Are you ready for your own rebellion?
Or are you going to stick with the voice in your head?
If the truth you have found does not bring you joy, you have not yet glimpsed the deepest truth.
The beast in me and the best in you.
